Motorists ignore injured cyclist

A Leicestershire man involved in a cycling accident was left by the side of the road for 20 minutes before a motorist eventually stopped to help.

The 66 year old was riding along the A5 ahead of a lorry when he hit an eight-inch-deep pot causing his bike to flip over, breaking his arm and tearing muscles in his wrists.

The man got himself to a verge and lay by the side of the road within a foot of the road whilst motorists passed him by.

As well as a broken arm, he also suffered bruising to his elbows, hip and shoulder.
