British cyclists survives 65ft cliff plunge

A British man is recovering in intensive care after plunging over the edge of a 65ft cliff while out cycling on holiday.

The man is thought to have become seriously dehydrated when out riding in temperatures in excess of 40 degrees, and consequently blacked out.

He then fell from his bike over a 65ft cliff.

A local shopkeeper came to the rescue and called the emergency services after seeing that he had swallowed his tongue.

The art student was just hours into a three week trip with friends when he accident happened. His friends only noticed he had vanished when they returned home from their ride, and so went back to investigate.

His relatives have explained that his speech is currently slurred but they are confident that he will make a good recovery.
