Teenage boy recovering in hospital after cycling accident

A teenage boy who was found lying in the street this weekend is recovering from a serious head injury in hospital. 

It is believed that he was the victim of a cycling accident, and Police are now investigating the cause.

It is not yet known if any motor vehicles were involved and so far no one has come forward with evidence to help the case.

The boy, who is believed to be 16-years-old, was air lifted to a hospital for emergency treatment. 

A spokesperson for the force said, “The boy was found at the side of the road on Friday and we are now looking in to the cause.”

“We believe he was involved in a cycling accident and we are now investigating the scene and speaking to local residents to see if we can find out any further information.”

Hospital staff say they are hopeful the the accident victim will make a full recovery.
