Injured cyclist found with no memory of accident

A cyclist has been found on a road in Tickenham with a head injury but no memory of what happened to him. Police are appealing for witnesses to help to find out what happened to the man who was found on the B3130 Tickenham.

He was discovered on the ground by a speed camera and it is believed he had been cycling from the village to Clevedon when the accident happened.

Hospital staff say the injuries are unlikely to have been caused just from falling off a bike, but are more consistent with a high speed injury.

Although detectives are keeping an open mind, they have not ruled out that this might be a fail to stop incident.
