A London man who has died after being involved in a cycling accident with a car is the fifth person to die in the capital this year. 

The 41-year-old sports coach died of his injuries 6 days after he collided with a car on Great Cambridge Road, Tottenham.

A 62-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. 

The death brings the total of cyclists killed in London this year up to 5, with one death in January, 2 in February and 3 last month in March. 

Pressure continues to mount on Transport for London (TfL) to improve safety for cyclists in the capital.
