Family Pay Tribute to Cycling Accident Victim

The family of a 27 year old cyclist are paying their tributes after a fatal accident involving a car took his life. Gareth Crockett, 27, from Northern Ireland died after he collided with a Vauxhall Corsa on the A55 in Anglesey, North Wales last week. Mr Crockett and two of his friends were taking part in an extreme challenge where they planned to complete 4 marathon runs in 4 days, cycling to each one. The trip was to climax with the completion of The London Marathon. They took on the challenge to raise money for charity after their friend, John Erwin passed away last year. The 77 year old driver who collided with Gareth was arrested but then later released on bail. Gareth’s sister Emma passed on her tributes: “A keen athlete, he loved to cycle and run. Gareth was very well traveled in his 27 years.”
