A dancer who lost her leg in a life-changing cycling accident says the injury won’t stop her from getting back to her favorite pass time.

Annie Turner from Gloucestershire had to have her leg amputated when a lorry pinned her against a row of parked cars in a horrific cycling accident.

However after making a recovery the dancer has already got back on the stage and has no plans of stopping.

“I’ve been on the dance squad at university for two years and the cheerleading squad for three and I’m still attending all the rehearsals,” she told local press.

“I took part in the dance showcase for our squad and all the work we have been doing and did a solo on stage, no crutches, no prosthetic leg, just my balance.

“It was the best feeling in the world.”

Annie was told the dreadful news 15hrs after the accident when she regained consciousness, describing it as “unbelievable”.

She now uses a prosthetic leg provided by the NHS but continues to be an active dancer.
