Bedworth Cyclists in Heated Row With Tesco Store

Cyclists in Bedworth have found themselves involved in a heated debate with supermarket giant Tesco.

Cyclists in Bedworth have found themselves involved in a heated debate with supermarket giant Tesco.

A brand new £27million Tesco store which has just been completed in the area accommodates pedestrians and cars but not cycling, leaving two-wheelers up in arms.

Campaigners rode around the store this weekend to express their feelings.

“We’ve been fighting for cycle routes in Bedworth for some time now,” a spokesperson for the campaigning group said.

“Tesco have spent £1.1million to change the layout of the roads around the store but they haven’t done anything at all for cyclists.”

“To try to cycle around here is too dangerous – the store is absolutely massive and the traffic it generates is vast.”

Tesco have so far not replied to the protests.
