Cyclist hurt after collision with tractor

A Police investigation is being carried out after a man was ‘seriously injured’ in cycle crash with tractor.  Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was found injured on the roadside after apparently coming into contact with a tractor.

Two air ambulances responded to the call due to the nature of the cyclist’s injuries and the rural location of the accident.  The rider was taken by air ambulance to the nearest trauma unit where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

An Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 11.26am this morning to reports of a collision between a tractor and a pushbike near the church…….

“We have responded with an Air Ambulance and a male adult is being conveyed to hospital with serious injuries.”

A Police spokeswoman added: “Officers were alerted to the incident ……………………… at 11.35am involving a cyclists and a tractor.

“The ambulance service were informed and the cyclists is believed to have sustained serious injuries and has been taken to…… Hospital by Helimed.
