Bradford will be hosting a go: cycle Cyclefest which starts in the city centre and aims to invite cyclists in the Bradford area to take part and, in doing so, encourage more people to start cycling.
The festival will kick off in Centenary Square between 12.30pm and 6pm, and there will be loads of entertainment including displays from BMX stunt riders, a range of adapted bikes and a cycle parade.
Go:cycling’s project manager, Carl Tinson, told the Telegraph and Angus: “The go:cycling festival is a great way to bring both novice and experienced cyclists together for a bit of fun, education, advice, and entertainment.
“We’ve created a truly interactive day, there’s certainly something for everyone and we’re sure it will provide the motivation and encouragement to get more people on their bikes and lead a healthier lifestyle.”
This is just one of the numerous events taking place across the West Yorkshire region which hopes to increase the number of active cyclists by making cycling fun and providing safety advice on bike maintenance for visitors.
