A woman has been knocked off her bike after her back wheel was clipped by a large four wheel drive vehicle. The cyclist fell, hitting the ground and sustained injuries to her face and arms. The vehicle drove off without checking she was ok, calling an ambulance and has not reported the incident to the Police.
The Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision which occurred as she cycled away from traffic lights at approximately 5.50pm.
No witnesses to the incident have come forward at this stage and it is important that the Police identify the other driver as they may be have been driving dangerously or simply been unaware of their actions.
Paramedics took the cyclist to the nearest hospital where she was treated for her injuries which are not thought to life changing.
