Emergency services were called to the scene of an accident during rush hour at approximately 8.45 am, where a collision had occurred between a cyclist and a Council mini bus.
A spokesperson for the County Council, said: “One of our vehicles was involved in a traffic accident this morning.
“At the moment the matter is still with the police and we do not have any more specific information.”
Both the driver and the cyclist were taken to hospital and the cyclist is known to have sustained minor face and neck injuries and is expected to recover fully.
The drivers injuries are not known at this stage.
