Cyclist seriously injured after accident involving two cars

A cyclist in his 50’s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash  involving two cars, a Nissan Qashqai and a Citron C3.

The emergency services were called, including fire, police and ambulance crews to a road traffic collision at 12.19pm which involved a cyclist and two vehicles.  The police secured the area whilst fire and ambulance crews attended to the injured.  The injured cyclist was treated for serious injuries to his legs and hands and taken by road ambulance to the Hospital for further medical care.

Three occupants of the vehicles were treated at the scene but luckily only for minor injuries.
