A cyclist has been injured after being knocked off his bike in a hit and run incident. The incident happened in broad daylight at around 1pm when a vehicle towing a another vehicle, collided with the cyclist and drove off. It is not known if the driver was even aware that they had hit the cyclist.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident to try and help trace the driver. All Police know at this stage was that the cyclist was hit by a light blue Vauxhall Corsa towing a silver Vauxhall Corsa.
The cyclist was treated by emergency services for a suspected broken elbow but was taken to Hospital in order to have a complete physical assessment and to ensure there were no hidden injuries.
