Cyclist breaks leg after collision with car

A cyclist has been rushed to hospital with leg injuries following a collision with a car.

 

The incident happened when a 54–year–old cyclist collided with an Isuzu vehicle and needed emergency treatment to his leg.  Emergency services attended the scene promptly and assessed his injuries.  He was given pain relief and then he was transported to Northern General Hospital with a suspected broken leg.

The drivers injuries are not known at this stage.

 

Police are appealing for witnesses of the accident to come forward with information.
