A cyclist who was knocked off his bike in a hit and run incident has appealed to the driver to come forward.

The 29 year old man was cycling home from work when the car hit him and sent him flying almost 20ft.

“All I remember is there was this massive bang and I was flying through the air.” he said.

“I thought that was it and I remember thinking, ‘this is going to hurt’.”

The rider was wearing hi-visibility clothing and had lights on the front and back of his bike when the cycling accident took place.

He has now appealed for the driver to come forward

“Do not be a coward and come forward.

“If I had hit someone I would stop and make sure they were okay. They might be at home thinking I am dead. I would be feeling guilty.”
